Every museum eventually has to change its displays, and so this weekend, it’s time to say Goodbye, Julia’s Kitchen. I didn’t get to make my pilgrimage there, but Lainey did, and that’s all that matters.
Though the full display will be dismantled, bits and pieces of it will be used for another one. I’m glad.
Sorry you missed this one but perhaps when they set up another one, hopefully you’ll be able to see that one.
I *can* believe we were there and didn’t go – though I wanted to attend during ALA, the whole time was a.) freakin’ hot and b.) freakin’ overwhelming.
Can’t believe we were there and didn’t go.
I visited it *twice* when I was in Washington for ALA the summer before last. I stared and stared and stared. I’m sorry to hear they’re dismantling it.
