I'd never heard of Jon and Kate, but I don't think anyone can imagine what the loss of privacy means. Not really. It's kind of like hearing about the sleep deprivation that happens after having a baby, and yet it doesn't sink in until afterward that it means no catching up on sleep on the weekends. It means sleep deprivation ALL THE TIME.
Hunger Games doesn't seem that distant into the future. I wonder if there would be to-the-death types of reality shows if they weren't illegal.
I haven't watched their show, but I feel badly for that Jon and Kate. They look miserable, and, goodness knows, I'm sure my life would not bear up to that kind of scrutiny.
