…just a little shout-out to the alma mater, since they so kindly sent me a t-shirt.
This Rosie is especially apropos, since Richmond and Oakland were the busy centers of the Bay Area female shipyard workers during WWII. Rosie was there, riveting away, but her name was the less iconic Geraldine, Wendy, Shirley, and Ronnie.
So, here’s to the strong, proud women of the Mills tradition – although the back of this shirt cracks me up. Everyone is smarter than Barbie. And if you’re not stronger than Ken, there’s a serious problem!
But, I can’t wait to wear this shirt to the gym.
Thanks for posting this, Tanita!
(Did I meet you at the Save Mills Rally last year?)
I don’t think so, but we’ve probably at least seen each other.
This post was so long ago – we couldn’t have seen the future in 2011. I’m still so sad!
That’s a great tee-shirt. As far as being smarter than Barbie, while I question some of her lifestyle choices, I can’t help but be impressed with how many professions she’s mastered: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbie's_careers
Or were these merely her Halloween costumes?
Love the tee shirt!
That is one seriously wicked cool T-shirt.
Love the saying! The woman on the front appears to be so angry. Happy wearing of the shirt to the new and shiny gym!
