{little discoveries}

Edinburgh D 64

Little corners of Edinburgh always reveal such nice things. I’d seen this sign before, but hadn’t had time to stop in to the tiny museum full of Robert Lewis Stevenson and Robert Burns memorabilia, until my brother and niece came to visit.

Please note the blue sky. It was 46°F, but the sky. was. blue.

Lots of stories to tell, a few small happenings to relate, but — too tired to talk, after a week of guests. I expect to get my second wind soon!

Happy Weekend. May the sun shine at least for a little while.

  1. Randy and I spent a lovely couple of hours in The Writers’ Museum. I most remember the tiny staircase and reading about Robert Louis Stevenson. We had read Kidnapped together as one of our pre-Scotland books, and it was fun to learn more about his life and travels.

    Yay for blue skies!

  2. The sign is adorable and having spent years in Ireland I well understand the desire to point out the blueness of the sky (so rarely does it appear that colour in certain parts of the world!). It was a bright day here too but with a high of -3 Celsius so your 46 (8 Celsius) sounds downright desirable to me.
