…yes, you can, in fact, get sick of the smell of baking butter and sugar.
After a flurry of baking, this Elf has retired. I write to you from an Undisclosed Location, to wish you a peaceful, restful, satisfying and reflective holiday season. May you have friends and family all around when you want them to be close, and may you have a small, warm, EMPTY OF PEOPLE room full of books, gingersnaps, and hot tea when you’d like it.
Merriment to you.
Oh my goodness. I am remembering the red icing for next year. These are lovely and look so good.
I finally met aquafortis. I hope to meet you, in person, some day! Happy New Year Tanita!
Hope you enjoyed a very happy, merry, relaxing Christmas. I was utterly relieved, myself, to be able to include a fair amount of quiet time in addition to the family time.
Those cookies do look lovely, though. There were surprisingly few cookies involved in this year’s holidays–but we did get gifted a fancy cocoa kit and some chocolate, so I suppose we’ll manage. 🙂
Merriment and joy to you, dear T.
My mom has arrived safely, and despite the round of Christmas colds, we are all happy and snug.
