The first words out of people’s mouths these days is, “Have you had your shot?” in lieu of greeting. I think it’s started embarrassing people to have me answer in the negative. I’ll get there. We’ll all get there (those interested, anyway). Waiting and fearing missing out is pushing so many of us into this restless state, like Seniors getting a whiff of freedom. But, are we really ready?

Hahaha! This one made me laugh at the cruel irony. Am I the only one who finds the “have you been vaccinated?” question invasive? I don’t ask others if they’ve been to the dentist, had a mammogram, or any of the other annual health-care offerings we submit to. Why this?
I also think the answer in the affirmative is making people feel safer than they actually might be. I’ll just keep my mask on and wave from a distance.
@Tricia Stohr-Hunt: THANK YOU. I find it invasive myself; we’ve slipped away quite a bit from minding our own business in the last thirteen months. I know people do the selfies for joy of seeing a light at the end of the tunnel of being housebound, but I haven’t even told my MOTHER my status. It just seems weird to me, too!!!
While I’m glad to have gotten my shots, I still don’t feel super safe. Already reading up on when booster shots will be needed.
