{a fitting kick-off for the month}

It’s a bit shocking how smart my friends are. This is an excerpt from a conversation in my writing group yesterday, totally ganked with no one’s permission, and brought up for public scrutiny.

If you’d seen the rest of the exchange, you might have had to have a tiny cry. When a writer is down — nothing like others with keyboards beneath fingers, lifting them back up.

  1. Ahhh, just exactly what I needed. Wise words from brilliant Anne. I love hearing about your writers’ group, btw. 🙂

    And I’ve been following all the posts, yours and D’s, about impending move stuff with nailbiting and sympathy and great anticipation! Will your CA stay bring you down to our end of the coast?

    1. It will indeed! D’s family is from the Redlands/Loma Linda area, so we’ll probably make a point of getting down to San Diego just because it’s nicer than Redlands/Loma Linda…

      If they give us back our passports.

      This is all SO full of the CRAZY. But, we have nothing more we can do but pack and prepare and act as if we’re going somewhere… I will be grievously disappointed to miss niecelet’s college graduation — but I am realizing that with the 2012 London Olympics, the UK Border Agency really is swamped and didn’t plan well… if they’re fourteen weeks behind the curve, the athletes may arrive before they have visas!!!
