I remember how I felt when I got the last signing off done for my MFA, turned in the last bit of my thesis project and had it all bound.
My years at Mills were a lark, nothing like the slog Tech Boy has gone through. But, he’s done, done, done. Thank heaven.
And now? We’re goin’ to Disneyland.
Well, he doesn’t think so. But, WE’RE GOING, darn it.
CONGRATULATIONS, Tech Boy! What an accomplishment. Have oodles of fun, however you two choose to celebrate.
P.S. I love the It’s a Small World ride at Disney (I grew up in Orlando). Sad, but true. And now, when we go every 5 years or so, I picture that scene from Kingdom Keepers where the dolls are all eerily, scarily, swimming toward the boat…great scene!
Congratulations! Have fun at Disney. 😛
Yay for David!
but …Disney land???
It’s more a threat than anything else; Disneyland is, to D., a sparkly, face-painted, crowd-pleasing vision of hell.
And so, I routinely threaten him with it. The happiest place on earth, after all.
If we go to “dinney land” then you’re going to have to suffer through “it’s a small world.” Multiple times. Until you scream (which would be the first time, OK).
You. Want. To. Go.
Congratulations to Tech Boy!
